What To Expect in Worship
In our worship services, God blesses us by the powerful message of His love for us in Jesus Christ so that we can have peace in our lives and hope for our eternal home.
At our church, we believe that the Bible is the true Word of God and that nothing should or can be added or subtracted from it. And so we preach His saving love, truths, and promises at every worship service.
Lutheran worship gathers people around the gospel, or the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. In our services, we follow a pattern of worship called “liturgy”. This pattern helps us focus on the gospel by allowing us to confess our sins and receive God’s forgiveness, to pray together, to hear God’s Word and to share Holy Communion. We also make use of our talents in art and music to beautify worship with a variety of symbols and singing.
When you arrive, someone will greet you. We’ll get a bulletin in your hand and help you find a seat if you wish. Look for our pastor, he’ll be around to greet you too and they can answer any questions you might have. No matter which service you attend, you’ll find people dressed in all sorts of ways, expressing both their desire to respect God and his Word and to be comfortable as they worship.
Bring your children! Kids quickly pick up on the way we worship and we think there’s nothing better than that. God’s blessed us with many children too, so you won’t be the only one with kids. In fact, we know it can be a little daunting bringing kids to church. So, if your child needs a break for any reason, we have a cry room.
